The Practice was founded in Cape Town by Louis Karol in 1952. Today, Louis Karol architecture engineering interiors is not only one of the largest multi-disciplinary firms in South Africa, but is also a black empowerment enterprise.

The practice has worked with the majority of corporate and public clients in South Africa, producing architecture, which responds to it's environment, makes a statement, and provides an attractive return on investment.

The commitment to excellence in architecture led to the development of a multi-disciplinary organizational structure, and today offers architectural, structural engineering , project management and interior design services.
