The construction of Dubai or Las Vegas for that matter, is complete madness! But maybe humanity invents a cheap way to extract drinking- water out of sea- water.
The VAE has one huge advantage, the sun!
I should massively invest in solar technology, the technology is advancing hugely.

Tourism? I think that's the strategy.
I sometimes wonder if the construction of these enormous buildings in a desert is sustainable? What's the energy use for having a shower in the penthouses?

The Emirates Park Towers Hotel & Spa development is a twin-tower complex that is currently under construction in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The two towers, the Emirates Park Tower 1 and the Emirates Park Tower 2 will house two large hotels. At 77 stories and 376 m (1,234 ft) tall after completion they will become the world's tallest fully hotel buildings, surpassing the Rose Tower also in Dubai.
