HTW Berlin Campus Wilhelminenhof in Berlin

First AEG, then KWO, now HTW: A traditional industrial area in southeast Berlin transformed into a modern science site. Where once transformers, Mounted television and cable were made. Now a campus for the University of Applied Scienses

In four years of construction the listed, industrial buildings on the Wilhelminenhof were carefully renovated and remodeled and added attractive new buildings to the future campus. The first building was purchased in the summer of 2006 by the Department of Design of HTW Berlin.,Then followed three years later, the two engineering Departments and some programs of the Department of Economics II. The particularly attractive waterfront "Spree Hall" is the new home of the University library and the cafeteria of the student union.
Thanks to investment by state and federal governments in the amount of 122 million euros to date to five sites distributed university study, teaching and research at two sites in proximity focus. The HTW Berlin is now on the campus Wilhelminenhof in Oberschöneweide and on campus in Treskowallee Karl Horst home. The other
locations in the districts of Lichtenberg and Pankow were abandoned.
