Zeer jammer dat Eneco er niet voor heeft gekozen om zich in het Central District of op Kop van Zuid te vestigen...

Lotus III Eneco Head office in Rotterdam

Eneco signed an agreement with OVG for the development of an innovative and sustainable head office. The office has a size of approx. 25.000 sqm and will house 1400 employees.

The building is designed by Dam & Partners Architects and consists of three bended building parts that seem to embrace the centrally positioned atrium. Special technical and sustainable solutions are integrated in the design of the building such as Solar energy, Wind energy and air circulation. The building is strategically positioned towards the sun for natural lighting and uses sustainable materials, colours and planting. On the rooftop of the building a large rooftop garden will be developed which contributes to the goals of the Rotterdam Government to stimulate the use of natural rooftops. The choices that will be made for the interior design will also have to measure up to the sustainability goals. These goals are set both for the materials as for the suppliers of these materials. The building uses a heath/cold system. At this moment Eneco is still investigating what the opportunities are for the use of innovative systems for solar energy cells and the use of wind energy.
