Located on the far-eastern fringes of the city centre, Echo Central is Barratt Homes' attempt to regenerate this much-maligned area of town - and on the whole it works relatively well. The buildings have a striking design with an elevated position ensure panoramic views across the city - one of the advantages of living on the eastern side is the wonderful sunsets across the city. There are some nice design touches, from the multi-coloured balconies to the stone worktops in the larger apartments
