Built on a narrow riverside plot, this 16-storey contemporary tower is a striking piece of modernist design. Located at the end of Little Neville Street, this narrow lane keeps the building away from passing traffic, so it's relatively quiet despite being in the centre of town. We really like the external colouring; the mix of bright blue render and terracotta tiling looks more Spanish than English! Blue is one of the few buildings in Leeds constructed right on the water's edge, it provides the lower floors with quiet views of the River Aire and the higher floors with panoramic views across Leeds. The recent development of neighbouring Granary Wharf has really brought this block to life, with a new landmark pedestrian bridge across the River Aire
