The aim is to create a waterfront boulevard which will eventually become a continuation of Quay Street. Activated edges with markets and alfresco dining will fit in harmoniously with indigenous Auckland vegetation i.e. restoring that area to its natural state (well as close as) before man settled here. We love the fact that the vegetation will encompass various forms of flora and not just one continuous row of Nikau Palms. We also love tha fact that the street can be closed off for festivals and markets.
