East of the Haveneiland, ‘De Witte Kaap’ building is currently being built. ‘De Witte Kaap’ is one of the largest buildings in IJburg and is designed by Claus and Kaan architects. The building comprises 134 apartments and 7 commercial spaces. It is an extraordinary project, because the apartments are suitable for senior citizens and the disabled. The 7 available commercial spaces vary in size from 46 m² up to 234 m².

Block 63 is situated on Haveneiland, the largest island of IJburg. IJburg is the new urban district East of Amsterdam. A total of 18,000 houses are being built to house approximately 45,000 inhabitants. Blok 63 is located on the Wim Noordhoekkade, on the edge of the Haveneiland, thus located directly on the IJmeer lake. The commercial spaces are located mainly on the south side of the block, and are located on Fritz Dietrich Kahlenbergstraat.

Block 63 can be reached from the A10 orbital road via the IJburglaan and Pampuslaan or via the road that lies along the IJmeer lake, The Bert Haanstrakade and the Wim Noordhoekkade. The connection in the direction of Muiden and the A1 will open shortly, allowing for easy access to this area.
The IJtram was realized right at the start of construction of IJburg. This tram leaves for Amsterdam Central Station at 5 minute intervals.
