One of PE’s most defining attractions, the Boardwalk Casino & Entertainment World, is also stepping up its game, following the 2009 renewal of its gambling licence for a further 15 years. This will see R1-billion being invested in the complex, which will go towards the opening of a new five-star hotel in 2011 (making it only the second five-star facility in PE along with the existing Radisson Blu hotel), building a new convention centre, extending the casino, expanding the retail component and establishing numerous other new attractions.
