Access to the city will be quick and enjoyable for Hobsonville Point residents thanks to the new ferry wharf opening February 2012, along with a raft of other maritime features. The wharf will be constructed by Auckland Transport later this year. Other coastal structures and infrastructure at The Landing are currently being designed by leading consultants Beca and Architectus, and include public spaces, visitor berths, boardwalks and public viewing platforms. The Landing’s current piece of maritime history, the Seaplane Ramp, will be strengthened and retained to benefit rowers, kayakers and the like.
