3 Snowhill in Birmingham

3 Snowhill is the third phase of the wider Snowhill development adjacent to Snow Hill station. It will also be the tallest element. It features two towers that will be connected by a bridge on the first floor, which will contain restaurants and bars. One tower will be 138 metres in height and feature 332 apartments, whilst a smaller 80 metre tower will house a five star hotel, initially for operator Westin. The building began construction in 2007, but soon ground to a halt after funding issues from the Anglo-Irish Bank. There has been no news since about when it is expected to restart construction. Hotel operator Westin is believed to have pulled out from the deal.
