Beorma Quarter in Birmingham

Beorma Quarter is a large mixed-use development on a historically significant plot of land opposite the iconic Selfridges store at the Bull Ring. The phased scheme was proposed and approved in 2009. It will feature the demolition of most of the buildings on the site, the refurbishment of the Grade II listed Digbeth Coldstore building and adjacent shops and the construction of three new blocks consisting of shops, apartments and offices.

The main block will be a 107 metre tall office tower on the site of a music hall. The entire development will have basement parking and will incorporate the historic JFK Memorial which was removed from St Chad's Circus when it was demolished. A central public square will take up 30% of the total ground area. There will also be an Aquifer Thermal Energy Storage centre, added with the intention of making the development sustainable.
