103 Colmore Row in Birmingham

103 Colmore Row is a major office tower proposed for the site of the empty NatWest Tower. The tower is located in a sensitive urban area and will be of a highly modern design, contrasted against the Victorian architectural styles of the surrounding buildings.

Submitted for planning permission in 2008, it was approved several months later. The tower will consist of 285,000 sq ft. Grade A office space, with a rooftop restaurant. The developers are currently searching for a pre-let before starting construction. The building will be 130 metres tall to the roof, but a light mast will extend the building to 165 metres. As the location is one of the highest in the city, the tower will appear much taller than other towers on the skyline.
