The Guangzhou Urban Planning Bureau is planning to develop the second major CBD in town in this area once the Zhujiang Xincheng CBD is completed. According to some preliminary proposals, the new area will host a huge tower!
The first design of the building was a 500m, 118 floor tall flower-like tower, which is the only design they have published so far (on the rendering). The new design (published early 2010) is 650m tall.
